THE SORE ON JESUS' SHOULDER St. Bernard asked the Divine Savior, which was the most painful experience undergone by Him during His Passion unknown to men. Jesus replied: I had a very deep sore on the shoulder where I carried my heavy cross; that sore was the most painful of them all. The men are not aware of it. Honor this sore and I will grant whatever is requested... PRAYER Oh beloved Jesus, humble Lamb of God, in spite of being a miserable and sinful creature, I adore and venerate the sore caused by the heavy weight of your cross that opening your flesh exposed the bones of your sacred shoulder, for which your Sorrowful Mother mourned so much. Also I, oh beloved Jesus, feel sorry for You and from the bottom of my heart I glorify you and thank you for this painful sore in your shoulder wherein you carried your cross for my redemption. Oh! for the sorrows that you experienced that increased the enormous weight of your cross, I plead most humbly from you to have mercy on my poor sinful creature, forgive my sins and lead me to heaven by way of the Cross. Pray Seven Hail Maries and add: Most holy Mother, imprint in my heart the sores of crucified Jesus.......... (300 day Indulgence) Oh sweet Jesus, do not be my judge but my savior... (100 day Indulgence)
